'One short day' is the songs Elphaba and Glinda sing, with the people in the city they go to the Emerald city it was one of the first songs written for the play, but it was a lot different from the way it is now. It is the eighth song in Act 1
Plot
Elphaba is going to goto the Emerald city by herself, but Glinda is upset that Fiyero Tigelaar does not
love her anymore, so Elphaba lets Glinda come with her. They stop in this city on the way to meet the Wizard. They see all kinds of things they have never seen before while they are the Emerald city, there building that a taller then trees, and Elphaba is happy since no one is making fun of her green skin. She decides that this is where she belongs.
